As the holidays fast approach, I am getting ready for the teacher gifting. I’ve seen lists on social media of things that teachers don’t want for Christmas, but I can honestly say that some of those things I don’t mind receiving. I think at the top of the list was coffee mugs or cups, and quite frankly, I love my coffee mugs. I have one that I received from a student a few years ago that has a cat and a Christmas tree on it. The cartoonish cat looks exactly like my cat, Mickey. I drink out of that Christmas mug even when it isn’t Christmas. It’s just the perfect size and was so me!
Anyhow, here’s a list of things that teachers want:
- Gift certificates
- Room sprays (disinfectant or other)
- Kleenex
- Clorox or Lysol wipes
- Pens/Pencils and Stationary
- Chocolate
- Food items
- Coffee pods
- Books by their favorite author
- Colored paper or Cardstock
**Disclaimer: I realize that not all teachers may want or appreciate such items, but I know that I personally wouldn’t mind those things.
